http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_France The French School system is very different from the American system. There, schools are generally more hard and stricter. Kids normally go to school at 9:00 and come home around 4 to 5. For lunch, students have a break; these can last up to 2 hours. Kids can go home during these long breaks or stay at the cafeteria. Also on Wednesdays, there is no school, or they only go for the morning. School is divided up into two sections, Primary and Secondary. Primary school is elementary school. In France it is mandatory for kids to start school at 6, and they can go to the nursery. Primary school has five grades/years. Secondary school consists of middle school and high school. Middle school is 4 years and High School is 3. The grades numbers go backwards; for example 7th grade is 5e and 12th is Terminale or Final. High School is 3 years but most people retake their last year. Here, you choose “your path” or a course that you will take for the years to come. There is science & math, economics & social studies, and literature.
The golden boats soaring on the cool water
Fog is off in the distance leaving at the sun's presence
Chinese flags are flapping in the warm summer breeze
The horses are playing next to the water
Willow trees are swaying in the distance
What's this you ask? Why its only the Grand canal
I like it. Ilike the horses playing next to the canal. Mr. Chester
Napoleon Bonaparte was very influential, not to just Europe, but also to the USA. Napoleon had his own code of laws, in France, the Napoleonic Code. This code has influenced France’s law system and Europe’s. Since France, at that time, had Nationalism Napoleon influenced Germany to become a ‘’nation’’. As you know, during the Hundred Year War, Joan of Arc nationalized France by going to war and being burned. Finally, Napoleon was short on money and Thomas Jefferson was short on land so they made a little deal. Napoleon sold the land and Thomas hired Lewis and Clark to explore this new territory. Those are just a few reasons why Napoleon was influential in his days.
My life is as sweet as cake, with cream cheese icing, loaded with sprinkles, filled with pastry cream, and red velvet. There are so many tiers, and they just keep going, tier after tier. With cake everyday, there is joy, happiness, and hope. If you slip on the icing, just get back up, if you trip on the gumdrops, stand up and get past it, climb another tier, look up above, and don't stop, as sour as that sounds, it is still so sweet. My life as a cake.
